Does WSCA allow half chaps for adults?

I have the opportunity to go to a wsca show and am thinking of entering some english classes, but only have paddock boots (brown) currently. I’ll probably pick up a rule book at the MN horse expo, but was hoping to get the answer sooner. Also, would I need to wear a hunt jacket? Thank You !
Thanks, I should mention that I’m just doing this for fun. Don’t care how or if I place. I mostly ride western these days and am tring to get away with this without having to buy redundant boots that I may not wear much at all. I have tan breeches that still fit from years ago and english tack.

OK I am not familiar with WSCA but I know english classes. Since it is not USEF I am assuming that the only requirement is heeled boots and helmets. However, if you show up at any show in brown paddock boots, no judge will take you seriously. Hunt coats are usually required unless it is over 100 degrees in which case coats are sometimes called “exempt” meaning you don’t have to wear it if you have a long sleeve show shirt on, but I assure you all the competitive riders do wear them anyway. Bottom line is that if you want to do well, you need to make a positive impression on the judge…one that says hey, look at me, I’m the best in your ring. Which means that you should wear your hunt coat and BLACK tall boots and a black hunt cap or helmet.
